5 Years Already?

Well I am finally getting around to doing Jackson's birthday post so here it goes:

I can't believe that 5 years has come and gone so quickly. It seems like yesterday we were calling everyone in the middle of the night to tell them that I was pregnant (of course daddy made me do 3 tests just to be sure). The 1st baby/grandbaby on both sides of the family-oh the spoiling that was in your future.

The first time I saw you I knew it was love and I thought you were the most perfect baby I had ever seen- of course everyone agreed! You made us a mom and dad and that is the most special gift in the world and we are so thankful everyday for you.

You have taught us so much over these past 5 years. You are a sweethearted boy who is filled with love and compassion. You are tender, thoughtful, and so smart. We have watched you in awe of all that you are capable of and how quickly you learn new things. You have also taught us patience because as a deeply feeling child not only do you love intensly your feelings get hurt just as intensly.

We love you Jackson Tyler Kephart for all that you are and all that you do. We are proud of the little boy you are growing up to be and look forward to all the wonderful things that are to come for you!

Three Years Have Flown By...

I can't believe how much Carter has changed in just 3 years. It is hard to imagine that sick little baby in the hospital so unsure of what the outcome would be for him. Now just 3 years later the only reminder of those awful 11 days is the faint scar on his chubby little belly. Carter is our sweet funny boy with so much energy. He is a daredevil and there is nothing he won't jump off of or over. He is also very smart. He has been learning to recognize letters and is doing a GREAT job with it. I am thinking he may know all his letters by the time he starts nursery school in the fall. We are still working on potty training (he is ready he is just stubborn). I have a feeling when he decides he is ready it will go quickly. His laugh is contagious, his eyes sparkle with mischief , and his smile lights up a room. We love you Carter! Happy 3rd Birthday!

Our new neighbors

We have had so much fun watching our little duck family that lives in the pond behind our house. The kids and I have spent lots of time watching them swim around and play little duck games. They are just the cutest little things!

Last Day of School

Here are some pictures of Jackson's last day of school this year. I can't believe that another year of school is over already. This was a hard last day since this was Jackson and Jacob's last day of school together forever since Jacob will attend kindergarten next year and Jackson will do one more year of preschool. I am pretty sure it was harder on Kristi and I than it was the boys. I can't believe next year Carter will be going to preschool too (that is if he ever decides to potty train- he is sooo stuborn)
