Isabel is 1!!!

A YEAR OLD!! It still seems surreal to me. Wow what a journey it was to get you! If you would have asked me 2 years ago I never could have imagined I would be posting a birthday wish to my sweet baby girl! My pregnancy with you was full of worry and pain (from the daily shots of Lovenox in my belly). I listened to your heart beating with the doppler every morning and at bedtime (and somtimes during the day if my worrying got the best of me). I will never forget my 20 week ultrasound and the tech said "It's a GIRL!!" I remember looking at her and the first thing out of my mouth was "ARE YOU SURE?" She pointed out your parts and said she was almost 100% and the tears started flowing down my face. A GIRL!!! I couldn't believe after all we had been through I was finally getting my little girl! I was going to the mommy of two boys and a girl! I was on cloud nine!! Of course we went right out and got you a girly outfit! Daddy was excited but nervous becasue what did he know about raising a girl (well let me tell you the minute you were born he was wrapped around that tiny little finger of yours!)

The C-Sec was scheduled and the second I saw you after you were born all the worry vanished and I was head over heels in love with you and so excited to show the world my beautiful baby girl!

It has been such a funfilled year of dresses and pink everything! I have marveled at every milestone you reached (early for everything just like your brothers). I have loved watching you keep up with your big brothers and seeing the joy on your face anytime they are in the room with you! Your spirit shines through those pretty blue eyes with every glance and that sweet wrinkled up nose smile you do can melt any heart (no matter what mischief you are getting into.) I love you so much and am so thankful that you are my daughter. You are my proof that God really does have a plan (even though sometimes at the time we can't see it!)
