Isabel's 1st Birthday Party

Isabel's birthday weekend was filled with fun activities. On Saturday we had her pictures taken at JC Penny (and also did a new family picture). This is the cake that Grandma Ann spent many hours making even though she was very sick (just so Isabel could destroy it in pictures-we love you Grandma Ann!) Then after pictures it was home for a quick rest and recooperation before it was off to Chucke Cheeses for a small family party (Grandma Chris, Auntie Ali, and Ike joined us). Everyone had fun and Izzie really enjoyed playing with her cousin Ike and of course Jack and Carter also.

Sunday was the big party with many friends and family in attendance. It was a beautiful day so the kids got to playoutside a little bit. Isabel got lots of help from the boys opening her gifts and Jackson was so sweet and he cleaned up all the wrapping paper all by himself (he said it was his job and was very proud!) Izzie loved all her gifts and after the party was over went from one toy to the next playing with everything! After presents we did cake. Grandma Ann was wonderful enough to do another handmade cake for Izzie to have just for her. It turned out so cute! We didn't get a lot of smiling pictures at this point because the princess had reached her point of exhaustion and was ready for nap. So when cake was done she took a nap.

Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate her 1st birthday. It was a wonderful weekend filled with fun and great family and friends.
